His contributions ranged from selling legacy A300s for part-out to negotiating a speculative purchase of new 777-300ERs .

Gerry’s first leasing company was Pegasus Aviation, where he created and then led the Commercial Operations department, a lease administration and asset management function for more than 200 aircraft. Gerry’s commercial aviation experience began at United Airlines, with initial positions in performance engineering and new aircraft engineering, followed by maintenance accounting. His last positions were in aircraft sales, initially as the surplus 737 salesman, and then as head of the aircraft and engine sales department.

His career started with Rockwell International, where he updated Space Shuttle documentation and evaluated the flight stability and handling qualities of the B-1B bomber.
